I am going to be 100% up front with you. There is no such thing as completely toxin free Nail Polish. Every other section of my guide is full of amazing products that are TRULY toxin free. You will find toxins in these Nail Polish Options and these choices were the least toxic of them all, while still working like a nail polish.
Some popular options, like 100% Pure Zero, Jinsoon, Sundays, Liberation Nails, Dr. Remedy, Orly & Zoya did not make the list because of their wide spread use of Benzophenone-1.
SAFE-er
WATER BASED
Kapa Nui was the clear winner when it came to the safest ingredients and my favorite colors. After I learned to put on multiple thin layers and let each one dry, I got a full 10 days before needing to reapply.
They also carry a clean nail polish remover that is made specifically for their nail polish ingredients.

POLISH
BKIND was my favorite option in this category. They have a wide range of color options and it was a polish that really lasted and went on smooth. I used 3 thin coats and let them try between and it lasted all the other options.
They also carry a clean nail polish remover that I liked a lot.
Runner Up Options:
*Cote
Some shades of Cote (mostly deeper reds) DO HAVE Benzophenone-1.. so read labels on colors and choose a shade without it. Most don’t. Cote performed so well that I wanted to give this option as the majority of shades don’t have it.

GEL OPTIONS
Dazzle Dry- While this brand is a far cry from toxin free, it is a much better alternative to gel manicures at a nail salon that use UV lights and some salons are starting to offering Dazzle Dry as a safer alternative. It’s quick drying and puts on a solid coat that lasts.
Green Flash is a super innovative gel option that uses LED lights to set the lacquer, rather than dangerous UV lights. It has a gel-like wear and shine similar to what you’d find at a salon. It can also be removed in 1 minute without harsh chemicals or destroying your nail bed.
I wouldn’t call it “clean”.. but if you don’t want to give up your gel manicure, this is a safe-er option.
